Since our inception in 1999, we have donated over two million free haircut certificates through our signature Share-A-Haircut program. HC has extended its partnerships with local shelters, community organizations and national charities to serve underprivileged children, the homeless, victims of domestic violence and veterans. For every haircut purchased during Share-A-Haircut, we give a free haircut certificate to someone in need – and that’s a beautiful thing!
Ratner Family Giving
The Ratner family has a long philanthropic history, helping fund organizations such as: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Camps for Kids and The American Red Cross. They gladly support wounded warriors, the arts, education and at-risk youth. Grateful for their successes, they recognize the importance of giving back and encouraging all of their associates to get involved with causes dear to their hearts.
We believe that doing the right thing is the goodness we put out into the world. Through salon cut-a-thons, our associates raise funds to help a neighbor or a guest in need. Our School Donation Program sets aside 20% of a day’s proceeds to local schools. We also love to sponsor local sports teams, youth groups, Boys and Girls Clubs and children’s theaters.
The Hope Fund
We care for our associates like they are family and we support them through both good and bad times. The HOPE Fund’s mission is to offer emergency financial assistance to associates experiencing temporary hardship and unexpected situations such as natural disasters, home destruction or a death in the family. It’s a great feeling to know that your team will always have your back.
HC is committed to getting involved with the communities it serves. Our work with respected, national organizations is impacting a variety of causes. Additionally, we connect with local and regional groups whose values closely aligned with ours. We’ve supported events such as: Girls on the Run, The Neptune Festival, The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and Krausey’s Koats, just to name a few.
Our salon professionals are very important to us, so we want them to have a direct line of communication with our leadership and a voice in our company! Our dedicated Salon Ambassador makes regular visits to our salons, serving as a sounding board for our associates. The Salon Ambassador provides an open forum to discuss ideas, ask questions and provide us with valuable insights to be better every day.
